Team Lead, Application Integration

Team Lead, Application Integration, Burnaby, British Columbia

When you join our team as a Team Lead, Application Integration, you will be responsible for providing oversight, feedback, and direction to staff on the Integration Team, as well as managing various projects as needed. This position plans, coordinates, and manages daily operational functions of the Integration team, including assessment of new requests, coordination with stakeholders, communication with staff, and planning for future initiatives. The Team Lead will work with developers, the technical infrastructure team and product owners to support the timely and reliable delivery of integration services and features. You will also maintain the technology currency of the Informatica, MFT & EDI implementations.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, help and grow senior and junior integration team members.
  • Leading the design, development, and documentation of complex tasks, including:
    • Informatica integrations, data synchronizations, mappings, APIs, and OData. Extract, transfer, and Load data in disparate enterprise systems.
    • Oracle & Microsoft SQL procedures, functions, and views. Organize and process information in a way that enables users to go back easily and intuitively and find details.
    • Informatica workflows, external objects, and external services. Allow external data to be manipulated and loaded in a manner to be useful to end users for both searching and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external business partners to determine needs and evaluate solutions.
  • Monitor and support Informatica’s daily operations by optimizing scheduling across the platform to assure balanced and efficient service delivery. Tuning of existing assets to maintain high level of service.
  • Provide technical expertise and direction in developing and supporting system level integrations:
    • Contribute to the Architecture design to build a solid foundation on which new services or updates of existing services can be built.
    • Ensure quality assurance focusing on improving the integration development process and making it efficient and effective.
  • Ensure efficient integration problems troubleshooting and recommend appropriate resolution employing data analysis skills.
  • Provide training to staff in both best practices of data manipulation procedures as well as design and development of integrations, mappings, and APIs.
  • Actively contribute to formulation of plans and policies.

What You Offer

  • Post-secondary education in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience,
  • 3 years of experience integrating IT systems (on-premises and Cloud)
  • Strong understanding and working experience with Informatica Intelligence Cloud Integration Services – iPaaS (Data Integration, API Management)
  • Experience evaluating, mapping, and integrating a variety of systems
  • Experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Working technical experience with relational database servers including Microsoft SQL Server & Oracle Database.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure & Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of ticketing solution ServiceNow which is considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a highly interactive/energetic team environment.
  • Ability to empathize and understand end-user experience to determine root causes of issues.
